Michael H. Fakih, M.D.
Director, Professor, and World Renowned Leader
 Medical Director of FIRST IVF, Dr. Fakih is recognized worldwide as a leader in his field. His innovative GIFT technique - using the woman‘s follicular fluid to treat sperm and serve as a transfer medium - has revolutionized the procedure. The improvement nearly doubles the success rate of the GIFT procedure.
A graduate of the American University of Beirut, Dr. Fakih completed residencies at that university‘s medical center, as well as Vanderbilt University's Hospital in Tennessee. He completed two fellowships in reproductive endocrinology and infertility - one at Yale University, and another at the Medical Center of South Carolina.

Dr. Fakih has published over 20 journal articles, and he has 25 abstracts presented at national meetings including the Superior Selected Abstract “Interleukin - 1 Activity is elevated in the Peritoneal Fluid of Patients with Mild Endometriosis”, Society of Gynecologic Investigation, Atlanta, 1987.
